Once a tropical heaven, the city of Harran was put into a state of civil unrest and quickly overrun by the approaching infection. You find yourself in a coastal favela after escaping the central city.
This is a map created for the Return to Harran competition with the goal of building a Harran-inspired city environment with an extra 'tropical' flair, mixed with more verticality for better parkour opportunities.
Performance:
The map's performance should be improving with each version barring any major map extensions. However, there are some optimization methods that are either very technical/time consuming or currently impossible that will also be utilized whenever tutorials or support are added.
For now, it is recommended to lower LOD settings, enable upscaling, and/or turn down shadow settings when struggling with FPS. To copy your settings from base game Dying Light 2 into the developer tools each time you start, follow this guide. This can be skipped when starting from the game, rather than through the developer tools.

There is some work I'd still like to do in terms of expansion/detailing/general map improvements, but until I find better optimization methods I'll be sticking to a smaller, more detailed open-world setting. That being said, the entire environment is still handcrafted and there are plenty of parkour/combat/exploration options as of now. Further updates will (hopefully) include improved performance.
